The Tx-FWD measurement vehicle applies an impact load to pavement (asphalt or concrete) and measures the applied load and deflection data at multiple points.
The complete FWD (Falling Weight Deflectometer) unit is mounted on a one-box van type vehicle, and load application and deflection measurement can be operated remotely from the driver's seat, enabling agile measurement work.

The features are as follows.

• Mounted on a one-box van type vehicle, it enables agile measurement work.
• Measurement can be made at positions 300 mm to the left or right of the vehicle centerline, so the vehicle does not encroach on adjacent or oncoming lanes during measurement, allowing safe work.
• Using geophones, pavement deflection can be measured with high accuracy on the micron order. Setting up the FWD unit on the pavement surface, measuring and stowing it can all be controlled by one person from the driver's seat, enabling safe and efficient measurement work.
• The measurement system is backed by software developed in-house, so it can be operated easily and interactively while watching the PC screen.
• Measurement data are processed in real time on site and displayed on the PC screen, so data quality can be judged on the spot and only highly reliable data are collected.
• Measurement data can be saved to a hard disk or USB memory and easily organized back at the office.
• Air temperature and pavement surface temperature are measured automatically, enabling detailed temperature evaluation in analysis.
• Equipped with a highly visible work sign board for safe operation.
